All Skills Camp

LOCATION: Mary Bowers Field—UAB Campus
CAMP DETAILS:
- Offensive and defensive skill instruction and fundamental drills
- Offensive sessions offering drills to create power, recognize pitches, improve approach
- Defensive sessions broken up by position covering footwork, angles, rage, overhand throwing mechanics to prevent injury
- Competitions
- Water activities
- Discounts offered to groups of 8+
- Groups split by age/ability to ensure best learning environment
- No meal included but snacks available for additional cost
- Staff will include current and former UAB players, the UAB Softball coaching staff, other NCAA, JUCO, and high school coaches
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP CHECK LIST:
- Softball pants recommended
- T-Shirts are fine, a heavy/hot uniform top is not necessary
- Softball Glove
- Catching Equipment (Catchers)
- Softball Bat
- Helmet
- Batting Gloves (if wanted)
- Tennis Shoes and Cleats (No cleats in the hitting facility)
- Sunscreen
CAMP REFUND POLICY
In order to be compliant with NCAA rules, please understand that any payment you make towards camp is non-refundable. If for some reason a camper cannot attend, please inform Megan Reynolds (reynoldsm@uab.edu) two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date and we will gladly forward your camp balance to be used towards for a different UAB Softball camp or clinic. If an individual cannot attend due to a medical reason, please provide a doctor’s note to reynoldsm@uab.edu and the balance will be forwarded, if the cancellation is made prior to camp. Finally, no refunds or balance forwards will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp.
AJ Daugherty Softball Camps are open to any and all entrants. (Limit only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
